RiverView Health is looking to hire a full-time (80 hours every 2 weeks) Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). The PTA will work as a member of our physical therapy team to provide treatment for patients in the outpatient, inpatient, and sub-acute settings. The PTA is expected to effectively and professionally interacting with patients, family members, and other health care team members while maintaining RiverView Health standards of behavior. The position does include working a weekend rotation. Salary range is $24.97 - $34.96 and starting wage is dependent on experience.
Primary responsibilities:
- Provides treatment as per plan of care established by physical therapist
- Identify patient’s needs (physical, cultural, and psychosocial) and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences
- Document and complete billing according to current standards and policies
- Perform selected data collection and obtain accurate information
- Assist in maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards
- Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge
- Current State of Minnesota license as a Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant / Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA.
- Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) associate degree from an accredited school is required.
- Current American Heart BLS certification is required. If not current training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months from the date of hire or employment will be terminated.
Salary : $25 - $35
