Responsibilities

Shift:Full Time

Schedule: Variable 6 am to 2:30 pm or 9:30 am-6:00 pm; work every other weekend

The Cook at Riverview Regional Medical Center will be responsible for the preparing, cooking, storing of food for patients, staff, and guests within the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Prepares menu items according to standard recipes
• Maintains equipment in kitchen to standard
• Maintains kitchen area to state required sanitary standards
• Completes all tasks on duty while adhering to safety standards and policies of the hospital
  
  

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• Two (2) years experience in food service with commercial, institutional cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets desired.
  
  

County Specific requirement.

• County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current.
  
  

Performs a variety of patient and non-patient #food service duties such as #preparing and #delivering patient trays, servicing the #cafeteria, working on #tray line, #stocking storage areas, preparing #nourishments, #dishwashing and #pot washing, #mopping and sweeping of floors and emptying of trash as well as other related tasks.
