Maintenance Technician

Riverview School is an independent coeducational boarding/day school, providing a caring community and learning environment for adolescents and young adults with complex language, learning and cognitive disabilities. We have immediate openings for Maintenance Technicians on our team of facilities professionals. General Responsibilities: • Perform various work in the ongoing maintenance and repair of our facilities and equipment. • Read, interpret and prioritize work orders • Respond to emergency situations when called upon by a Facilities Supervisor. • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards. • Troubleshoot and perform corrective maintenance • Identify and correct health and safety issues • Assist the Director of Facilities with special projects. • Inform supervisor of any materials and supplies needed to complete assignment. • Maintain records of work performed including materials used; turn in received work orders daily; request materials needed according to established guidelines. • Perform seasonal landscaping and snow removal: Shovel, plow and/or treat Properties; Perform snow removal operations and run associated equipment as directed • Effectively and safely operate a variety of tools and equipment used • Prioritize and review work when completed for quality workmanship. • Establish and maintain cooperative, professional and effective working relationships with others. • Observe and perform legal and defensive driving practices • Use and operate a computer and/or electronic devices to maintain assigned work Other Requirements: • Legally authorized to work in the US • Suitable drug test, physical, and background check results (CORI, SORI, DCF) with fingerprinting required. • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications Evening and weekend work may be required for School events or emergencies.
