What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Med Tech position at Riverview Terrace?
We are looking to add a Lead Medication Tech to our team! We are looking for an individual with 2-3 years of experience as a Medication Tech in long-term care who is ready to step into a leadership role. This role requires the ability to work all shifts and weekend days.
This individual would be working shifts on the floor as both a medication tech and a caregiver. With the responsibilities of giving medications, treatments and resident care duties as assigned by the Administrator or Nurse. This position administers medications according to acceptable standards. Porviding care for the residents that reside in our 15 apartment RCF unit according to their care plans.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Being on call 2 weekends a month handling staffing and communications with RN and Admin.
- Being on call during HCC vacations/time off, handling staffing and responsibilities of HCC
- Staffing assistance and coverage of all shifts.
- New hire training
- Reviewing paperwork- ensure accuracy
- Incident Reports - Reviewing and ensuring completion
- Assist with all Staff Training/ re-train
- Audits- MAR, Medroom
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
