RiverWest Properties, a rapidly growing Columbus-based real estate investment and development firm, is seeking a Leasing Specialist for its single and multi-family portfolio throughout central Ohio.

RiverWest was founded in 2017 and primarily owns and manages in four investment areas: (1) multifamily apartment communities, (2) RV camping resorts, (3) manufactured housing communities, and (4) commercial real estate development projects. This role would focus on Leasing throughout our multifamily apartment communities.
About The Role
Multi-Site Leasing Specialist serves as the first point of contact for new residents. We are looking for an energetic salesperson who will assist in filling vacancies by promoting properties, conducting tours, and delivering exceptional customer service to prospective residents. This role requires strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills to thrive in a dynamic setting. This person will report to the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager. We value thoughtful problem-solving, teamwork, and a drive for career progression in a rapidly evolving industry.
Core Responsibilities
- Travel to various properties within the assigned region to assist in leasing efforts, ensuring leasing goals are met.
- Conduct property tours and show available units to prospective residents, providing information on pricing, features, and amenities.
- Maintain accurate leasing documentation, including rental applications, lease agreements, and related paperwork.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and current residents, addressing inquiries and assisting with the leasing process.
- Collaborate with onsite property teams to understand leasing goals, availability, and property specifics.
- Participate in marketing initiatives, including community outreach, online postings, and social media promotion to generate leads.
- Follow up with prospects via phone, email, and other communication channels to maintain engagement and encourage lease signings.
- Ensure compliance with all Fair Housing and leasing policies and procedures across all properties.
- Report leasing activity to managers and provide insights on market trends and potential improvements.
- Assist in property management tasks such as renewals, resident events, and inspections as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four-year undergraduate degree preferred, but not required
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
- Knowledgeable in AppFolio
- Interested in and willing to learn new technologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment
- Highly organized with effective multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
- Ability to learn fair housing regulations required
Job Type: Full-time (Tuesday-Saturday), weekend availability required
