Riverwood Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Tech to join our Environmental Services team. The Floor Tech will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all floor surfaces within our facility. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floor surfaces throughout the facility.
- Strip, wax, buff, and polish floors using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
- Maintain carpets by vacuuming, spot cleaning, and performing deep cleaning as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Follow established infection control and safety procedures.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing common areas, resident rooms, and other areas as assigned.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Environmental Services Supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with residents, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in floor care and maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and use of related equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
