Riverwood Healthcare is currently seeking a Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our residents, staff and visitors.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and window cleaning
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed
- Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned
Skills:
- Experience in floor care and facilities maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of industrial and commercial cleaning techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners
