Nurse Leader/Supervisor Overview
The ideal candidate will oversee nursing staff and coordinate resident care during evening shifts at RiverWoods Durham. This role requires a nursing degree, relevant experience, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the elderly.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the care of residents utilizing the nursing process.
- Collaborate with team members to formulate individualized resident care plans and update them as necessary.
- Assess and document changes in residents' physical or mental status and report findings to the primary care physician and treatment team.
- Provide leadership and direction for direct care partners, prepare daily assignments, and delegate workload appropriately.
- Establish positive working relationships with team members, residents, and family members to facilitate open communication.
Requirements:
- Nursing Degree or Diploma from an accredited college, university, or nursing school.
- Long-term care facility experience and specialized knowledge of nursing care of the elderly and rehabilitative nursing are preferred.
- Nursing license within the State of New Hampshire and certification in intravenous administration are required.
