Home Health Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.
• Assist residents with mobility and functional nursing care, including transfers, ambulation, ROM, splint application, positioning, sit stand lifts, Hoyer lifts, and whirlpool.
• Develop professional relationships with residents, family members, coworkers, and supervisors to ensure open communication based on mutual respect.
• Assist with assessments and treatment procedures, including TPR's, BP's, weights, specimen collection, skin care, O2 stats, and O2.
• Follow Infection Control guidelines, including Standard Precautions, handling of Biohazardous materials, and isolation techniques.
• Provide assistance and oversight with all nutritional and hydration needs.
• Accept resident assignment and direction from the Nurse Leader and demonstrate awareness of shared responsibilities for resident care needs.
