Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction through friendly interactions and efficient service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions accurately, and manage daily sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with food preparation and service, including pastries and light snacks, as needed.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner to take orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies; communicate needs to management for restocking.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while preparing food and beverages.
- Demonstrate time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus but can be learned on the job.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
