Introduction:

Rivet Operations Company is looking for a forward-thinking Strategic Analytical Planner to deliver advanced data science, operations research, and analytical support to the Air National Guard. This role demands innovation, critical thinking, and deep technical skills to assess complex problems and offer strategic guidance for the future force.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and adapt mathematical, statistical, and econometric models to solve complex planning and resourcing problems.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of decision support tools and predictive analytics models.
• Apply quantitative analysis techniques to inform leadership of alternative courses of action and potential impacts.
• Convert data into strategic insights and recommendations through advanced visualization, simulations, and scenario planning.
• Support data governance by planning for storage, retrieval, and dissemination of technical, financial, and programmatic data.
• Conduct operations research to evaluate innovative solutions using cutting-edge methodologies and technologies.
• Prepare technical briefings, decision support documents, and executive summaries for senior DoD audiences.
• Advise ongoing studies and lessons-learned initiatives to improve future strategy and force alignment.
• Participate in professional forums and societies to remain current in relevant scientific disciplines.

Compensation Minimum: $94,120.00

Compensation Maximum: $117,651.00

Job Requirements:

Education, Experience, Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with at least 24 credit hours in mathematics (up to 9 credits may be in computer science).
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data science, operations research, or analytics.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
• Proven experience developing models and simulations in a defense or national security environment.
• Familiarity with tools like R, Python, MATLAB, or equivalent analytical platforms.

Clearance Requirement:

Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance requirement for the position.

Physical Requirements:

• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. May include lifting to 25 pounds as necessary.
• This role may also require the ability to move between secure facilities with specialized equipment or data and may involve participation in technical workshops, collaborative sessions, or site surveys related to strategic research activities.
