As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Regional Director of Therapy to support our therapists servicing our patients in the Western Michigan Region.

General Summary

Expected to exercise management responsibility over the region ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of the patient, customer and staff. Promotes and participates in all aspects of rehabilitation to recognize the goals, visions and expectations of Rivetus Rehabilitation. Performs various management activities such as program development, quality assurance, implementation of policies and procedures, supervision of Directors of Therapy and promotion of customer service.
Principle Responsibilities
- Supports the mission, values and vision of Rivetus Rehabilitation. Responsible for integrating the strategic plan of the organization within program operations.
- Promotes customer service through the supervision of rehabilitation service delivery and effective communication to employees, supervisor and customers.
- Mentors and trains Director of Therapy to assure consistency of Rivetus programs and quality rehab services across the region.
- Analysis of data, to impact and implement programs with audits and follow up to ensure quality of the medical record as it relates to reimbursement guidelines, clinical outcomes and accuracy.
- Monitors productivity and provides guidance/direction to maximize performance under the guidelines of federal and state regulations.
- Participates in recruitment and retention of employees, ensuring longevity, accurate candidate selection, ratio considerations and recruitment strategies.
- Identifies, participates and leads program development and in-services at individual facilities and throughout the region.
- Educates staff regarding Medicare regulations and oversees adherence to all guidelines.
- Provides management oversight for the development of high quality, cost effective clinical programs within areas of responsibility.
- Provides leadership support to Directors of Therapy and therapists in the form of resources, tools, education, training and accountability.
- Responsible for all aspects of service line programs/activities, including program development, patient satisfaction and performance improvement activities.
- Recommends and prioritizes equipment and space needs to the Senior Vice President.
- Communicates relevant facility, patient, and/or staff issues to the Senior Vice President in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for directing all of the personnel functions of their assigned sites in accordance with the policies and practices of the corporation, the ethical and social consciences of business and society and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of government organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities.
- Supervises all members of the Rehabilitation team, providing counseling when necessary, with input and approval from the Senior Vice President.
- Provides direct patient care, as required, in area of professional expertise/discipline, meeting the clinical and State regulatory requirements of that professional discipline as outlined in the discipline specific clinical job description.
- Performs other job-related duties, as assigned.
Education and Accreditation
- Must meet the educational and state requirements for clinical practice in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech and Language Pathology.
- Two years clinical experience, including five years (preferred) in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong written communication skills to develop reports, correspondence and analysis.
- Strong verbal communication skills to educate, influence and support rehabilitation staff and other disciplines.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong customer relations skills.
- Working knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting.
- Ability to exercise mature judgment and initiative in analyzing problems and recommending solutions to provide effective rehabilitation services.
- Ability to understand and react effectively to the needs of the various clinical age populations significant to everyday practice, evidenced through academic/clinical education and training and/or experience.
- Ability to travel periodically to various work facilities, providing own transportation.
