Responsibilities
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $107,000 - $133,700 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities
- Vehicle level integration activities for user facing features such as Body Controls, Mobile App, and user modes.
- Develop and execute vehicle integration plans related to vehicle features while keeping track of overall program milestones and delivery objectives.
- Work with Systems Engineering and UI/UX teams to develop feature definition, test, and provide feedback as to usability of features.
- Perform hands on testing of new features, requirement implementations, and bug fixes.
- Think outside the box to identify feature vulnerabilities and improve robustness.
- Identify, document and highlight cross-functional gaps and dependencies - proactively work towards creative solutions to resolve integration issues and ensure vehicle functionality.
- Deep-dive into vehicle log data and source code if required to root-cause system-level issues and facilitate rapid issue resolution in collaboration with domain experts.
- Support systems engineering activities including interface definition, development and functional testing in coordination with various vehicle-level systems.
- Develop and execute test plans and automation for functional verification.
- Perform analysis of vehicle data to develop insightful KPIs to verify the performance, requirements, and safety of autonomy features.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred, with 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong understanding of dependencies between various electrical & mechanical systems.
- Experience with systems engineering / automotive network architecture / vehicle integration.
- Strong working knowledge of automotive electrical systems and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and relevant debug tools.
- Hands-on experience debugging complex systems that involve multiple ECUs with interfaces to various vehicle sub-systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
- Proactively collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to solve vehicle-level integration problems.
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety concepts and testing-related safety procedures.
- Flexibility to travel domestically/internationally (up to 25%).
- Clean driving record.
- Professional experience driving prototype test-vehicles in test-tracks.
