Key Responsibilities
In this exciting role as Sr. Manager, Battery Cell Modeling, you will:
• Lead the development of battery performance models, including life data-driven and physics-based models for cells and packs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive decision-making for cell selection (chemistry and design) and system design
• Guide experiments to develop optimal test procedures, improving model calibration processes and enhancing model accuracy
• Work closely with the electrical engineering team to integrate battery systems into our vehicles
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and external partners to ensure access to cutting-edge technology and expertise
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and researchers
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field, with 5 years of experience in cell modeling and management. A strong background in electrochemistry, thermal analysis, and numerical simulations is essential. Proficiency in Python, MATLAB/Simulink, and COMSOL is highly desirable.
