Electrical Design Automation Engineer Job Description:
As a key member of Rivian's PLM and Product Development Systems team, the Electrical Design Automation (EDA) Engineer will play a vital role in the development and implementation of critical ECAD tools. This includes Cadence OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, and Altium Designer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EDA, PCB design, and architecture of electrical design applications, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain expertise in ECAD tools, including Cadence OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, and Altium Designer.
* Collaborate with engineering teams, IT, and external vendors to integrate ECAD tools with Rivian's design and PLM processes.
* Design and implement integrations for electrical and NPI supply chain data, improving data flow efficiency and accuracy.
* Manage ECAD library data, ensuring high integrity and consistency across electrical design and component engineering teams.
* Support the development and implementation of new technologies and methodologies to enhance tool performance and usability.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* 7 years of experience with ECAD tools, specifically Cadence OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, and Altium Designer.
