Role Summary
The Service Technical Training team is on a mission to redefine what learning looks like at Rivian. We’re seeking someone to join our team of Technical Training Instructors who is passionate about teaching, learning and collaboration. The Lead Technical Training Instructor is a key leadership role responsible for driving the development, and execution of technical training programs across a defined region. This role will collaborate closely internally and with cross-functional partners to ensure training programs are aligned with business objectives, industry best practices, and Rivian's commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities
- Spearhead regional training programs and initiatives for Technical roles in Field Service.
- Collaborate with the Technical Training team to pinpoint training and development requirements specific to their region and across Field Service.
- Lead complex technical training initiatives as business needs demand.
- Lead other instructors in testing, refining and utilizing new and innovative strategies to significantly increase the quality of adult learning across the organization.
- Serve as a technical expert and resource for training development including reviews, pilots and specialized training events.
- Maintain expert knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
- Serve as mentor to fellow Technical Trainers including field-based training partners.
- Lead operations of the regional training hub, including training schedule, inventory maintenance, facilities management, daily operations, training equipment, tooling, and vehicle maintenance to the highest standards, ensuring a well-organized and clean training area.
- Degree from a University, Certificate program in Automotive Technology, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
- Eagerness to enthusiastically contribute to the work of the team
- Strong ability to collaborate and serve as a professional consultant to service leadership and staff
- Extensive experience training in a professional environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated confidence and professionalism in customer-facing roles.
- Tech savvy – able to expertly use a full suite of Google and learning technologies.
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
