Role Summary
AI Product Manager is a specialized role that bridges the gap between artificial intelligence technology and business needs. They are responsible for the strategy, road-map, and execution of AI-powered products, ensuring they deliver value to both users and the organization. This position will be located in either Palo Alto, CA, Irvine, CA, Normal, IL or Plymouth, MI and report to our Director, Digital Workplace & Solutions
Responsibilities
- Define the AI product vision and strategy:
- Conduct market research and analyze user needs.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI to solve business problems or create new value.
- Develop a clear and compelling product vision and road-map aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Manage the AI product life-cycle:
- Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and design to launch and iteration.
- Prioritize features and define product requirements, collaborating with engineering, design, and data science teams.
- Ensure the product meets user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
- Monitor and analyze product performance:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the AI product.
- Analyze user feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and new opportunities.
- Continuously iterate and improve the product based on data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, designers, and marketing teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization to gain buy-in and support for the AI product.
- Stay abreast of AI advancements:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in AI and machine learning.
- Identify new opportunities to leverage AI to enhance existing products or create new ones.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts: A solid grasp of AI technologies, their capabilities, and limitations is crucial.
- Extensive knowledge of LLM models, Google Gemini, Azure AI, Open AI and ChatGPT .
- Product management experience: Proven experience in managing the product life-cycle, from ideation to launch.
- Data analysis and interpretation skills: Ability to analyze data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication and collaboration skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills: Ability to identify and solve complex problems related to AI product development.
- Business acumen: Understanding of business strategy, market dynamics, and customer needs.
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $176,200 - $220,300 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Illinois Based Applicants: $161,000 - $201,200 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment.
