Salary Range for California Based Candidates: $98,500.00 - $123,100.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Responsibilities
- Perform both development and validation testing at the coupon, component, sub- system, and system level for high voltage battery packs
- Primary area of focus will be structural/environmental testing; however, there are opportunities to grow by supporting other disciplines
- Develop test plans to target specific failure modes, demonstrate robustness to a requirement, or to develop a deeper understanding of the underlying physics
- Develop test procedures that define instrumentation, fixturing, test environment, and test safety parameters
- Drive forward testing efforts with cross-functional teams, external labs, and/or suppliers
- Provide technical input with respects to FMEA, design, manufacturing, CAE correlation, and DVP development
- Persistent attention on improving or development new test capability (automations, scripts, data processing techniques, design/procure new test stands, etc)
- Maintain and enforce a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- At minimum a BS in mechanical engineering or closely related subject
- 4 years automotive experience or in a related field
- Prior CAD and fixture design experience
- Prior experience testing high voltage batteries is preferred
- Eager to learn and to find opportunities to dig deeper into technical topics
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal)
- ~20% Domestic and/or International Travel
