Role Summary
The Sr. Media Vehicle Technician will support the Media and Marketing vehicle team. This role focuses on prepping vehicles for media loans and drives, prepping and building vehicles for marketing activities and support the vehicles in a small fleet of non-saleable modified vehicles build for a variety of internal and external marking purposes. This is a on on-site, hands on technician role that will require some travel and involves the use of tooling to perform mechanical and electrical repairs and modifications. This role is in Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $37.42-46.77/hr (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Role Summary
The Sr. Media Vehicle Technician will support the Media and Marketing vehicle team. Responsibilities
- Perform inspection of vehicles to document quality issues
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues related to electrical/mechanical/software or other systems
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed with documentation in JIRA
- Update vehicles to resolve any containments, quality concerns or old software issues
- Provide feedback on vehicle quality and issues to support root cause analysis and improvement of fleet quality
- Support media or other high-touch loans with vehicle transport where required
- Disassemble, modify and reassemble vehicles to support marketing customization in alignment with Special Project builds
- Support on-site for internal or external content capture in either media or marketing events
- Maintain prototype marketing vehicles including show cars, pre-production external facing and other non-saleable content vehicles
- Ensure fleet quality is maintained through inspection, repairs and documentation
- Provide feedback and support in planning vehicle usage for demonstration drives that showcase Rivian vehicles
- Troubleshoot issues where new to root cause vehicle problems and improve for fit/finish, NVH or other concerns
- Communicate directly with engineers and other technicians to ensure a high level of technical support
- Load and transport prototype vehicles to specified test locations as needed
- Test drive prototype vehicles
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with partners and stakeholders
- 5 years of technician/mechanic work experience in the automotive industry. Electric/hybrid vehicle experience preferred
- Valid driver license with clean record
- Advanced driver training. (preferred)
- Strong automotive electrical understanding
- High Voltage electrical knowledge and training
- CAN/LIN network understanding
- Minor fabrication experience
- Strong technical and mechanical ability
- Minimum age of 21
- No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License (within a 3-5 year period)
- No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years
- Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence that you will be operating a vehicle
- Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring
- Travel up to 30%
