We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Rough Rice Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in rice grading and handling, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
SHIFT: 10a-6p, M-F (Note: extended hours will be required during harvest season, August - November)
WORK LOCATION: Majority of time is expected to be at the Carlisle, AR site, but will float to other sites (Hazen, AR and Brinkley, AR) as needed for coverage
Key Responsibilities:
- Grade and inspect rough rice to determine quality and classification
- Operate and maintain grain machinery and equipment efficiently and safely
- Accurately weigh loads using truck scales (license required; training provided)
- Support rice milling operations and monitor equipment performance
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of rice intake and processing
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth workflow
- Assist with general site maintenance and grain handling tasks
- All other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Knowledge of rough rice grading techniques
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with rice milling operations is a plus
- Familiarity with grain machinery and related equipment
- Willingness to obtain a truck scale license
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Willingness to work extended hours during the harvest season (August–November)
