JOB SUMMARY
This position involves the movement of drop trailers between the warehouse docks and drop yard, ensuring smooth maneuvering and proper positioning for loading/unloading trucks.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carefully maneuver trailers to ensure they are correctly aligned loading/unloading operations
- Thoroughly inspect trailers and identify potential issues
- Placing finished products in correct location in warehouse
- Accurately pull customer orders in warehouse and load into outgoing truck vans
- Operate forklift in a safe manner to load and unload trucks
- Maintain the integrity of stored products in warehouse
- Inspect trucks before loading
- Assist in always keeping warehouse area clean
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervision
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current CDL required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift experience preferred
- Excellent ability to operate equipment/truck in tight spaces and navigate around obstacles
- Proficient communication skills
- Prior warehouse experience preferred
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Motivated and a self-starter
- Work with speed and accuracy
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be able to occasionally handle 50 pounds of product with assistance
- Must be able to wear PPE, including hair and beard nets, gloves, hearing protection, bump cap and any other as required for job
- Ability to climb on/off trailers and perform basic physical tasks
- Continuous coordinated use of eyes, hands and feet while driving
- Constant use of hearing and vision to hear employees and alarms; vision includes peripheral vision
- Pushing and pulling truck trailer doors and dock plates
This job is located in Brinkley, Arkansas (72021) and requires all work to be performed on-site.
