Full job description
RiVidium Inc. is seeking an experienced eloquent, persuasive Proposal Writer to join our proposal development team for our niche of local government. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing proposals for a variety of clients. This position requires excellent writing and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Proposal Writer must be able to quickly understand complex topics and distill them into clear, concise language that is tailored to the client's needs. As a Proposal Writer, you will be responsible for closely reading a government-issued solicitation, gathering the requested information, formatting the information in accordance with the solicitation's requirements, and presenting the information in a clear and concise manner.
The ideal candidate for this position should be articulate, possess excellent written communication skills, be able to work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines, and write persuasively in a factual, convincing manner.
Proposal Writer Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and organize information in a professional, credible, and visually appealing manner.
- Research and analyze potential clients and their needs.
- Attend weekly update meetings.
- Identify proposal opportunities.
- Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
- Edit and revise proposals according to feedback.
- Work with our team to suggest/create graphics and visuals for proposals.
- Be flexible.
- Write compelling proposals that are tailored to the client's needs.
- Develop and maintain a library of proposal templates and resources.
- Edit and proofread proposals for accuracy and clarity.
- Ensure proposals are compliant with all applicable regulations.
- Develop and manage proposal schedules and timelines.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure all required information is included in the proposal.
Ideal Backgrounds:
- Writing and/or editing experience.
- Experience in government contracting.
- Excellent computer and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Adobe and filling out forms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Good strategic planning.
- Background in government procurement.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 5-10 years in the GovCon proposal writing industry, with deep experience/understanding of GovCon proposal technical writing and development.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, writing, Journalism or related field mandatory. A master’s degree is preferred but can be overcome with the required experience.

Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
