Description
Rivier University seeks a full-time Assistant Professor of Nursing, Medical-Surgical to start for the Fall 2025 academic year.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Candidate must possess a keen interest and enthusiasm for engaging, teaching, working and mentoring nursing students in advanced medical-surgical / acute care nursing, medical-surgical / acute care nursing simulation, and fundamentals of nursing simulation and skills lab.
- Candidate must be knowledgeable in evidenced based practice and be able to teach research methods didactic to senior undergraduate nursing students.
- Knowledge of medical surgical / acute care nursing simulation and advanced nursing skills are required.
- Candidate must possess strong clinical skills and experience in medical-surgical nursing.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues both within the department, throughout the University community and within the clinical settings outside of the University.
- Candidate must engage in on campus presence, hold on campus office hours and participate in departmental and University wide committees.
- Flexibility in scheduling is required as some teaching is required in both the day BSN and ASN evening programs.
