What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Rivier University?
The Receptionist answers the University's main phone line, referring callers to the appropriate office or personnel and responding to a variety of inquiries with accuracy; serves as the receptionist for the Learning Commons; and provides a variety of administrative support functions for the Office of University Advancement and Alumni Relations.Â
- Operate the University's main phone line: answer incoming calls, connect callers to proper offices and personnel, routinely retrieve and process University voicemail messages
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on university offices, events, programs, and procedures to answer inquiries in an efficient and accurate manner
- Serve as receptionist for the Learning Commons, referring visitors to appropriate offices and performing a variety of routine support tasks for the building
- Pick up mail each day and distribute to offices in the building
- Perform a variety of support tasks for the Office of University Advancement including data entry, mailing preparation and fulfillment, preparing event materials, etc.
- High school diploma
- Relevant telephone and reception experience
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic administrative support experience a plus
