Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders accurately, and responding to inquiries about drink selections.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
- Comply with all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Assist in brewing coffee or tea as needed for beverage preparation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service when applicable.
Requirements
- Previous experience in bartending or food service is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong knowledge of brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods is a plus.
- Excellent math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is required; food handling certification is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be of legal drinking age as per state regulations.
