Role (Overview)
We’re looking for an experienced accounts payable staff member who thrives in an exciting and evolving environment. This role will largely be focused in payables. You will bill for our in-house maintenance team as well as out-sourced vendors. You’ll reconcile credit card statements and ensure charges are coded correctly. This is a role for a driven accounts payable professional who has tremendous attention to detail and understands the importance of follow up.
Responsibilities (Tasks Associated with the Role)
- Accounts payable for in-house maintenance department and out-sourced vendors.
- Accounts payable for all company payables.
- Charge properties and tenants for reimbursements as applicable.
- Reconcile credit card statements and charge appropriate entities.
- Assist with the month-end process.
- Maintain and process 1099 records.
- Other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

- Communicate effectively with our team.
- Understand all company policies and procedures.
- Ensures processes are followed to company standards.
- Ensures accuracy in entering data into AppFolio and QuickBooks.

Requirements (expected Proficiencies)
- High school degree required.
- A combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the application and usage of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Minimum of 1 year experience with Quick Books or comparable software is required.
- Previous property management experience preferred but will train a candidate with the right blend of skills and drive.
- Moderate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Google spreadsheets.
- Ability to learn new software quickly and experience with AppFolio or other property management software is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate via phone, email, and in person
- High degree of initiative and self-motivation; strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team and individually.
