The Account Manager is a pivotal role focused on expanding market presence within the commodity polymers sector, driving revenue growth, and fostering long-term client relationships. This position requires a deep understanding of commodity polymers, strategic sales execution, and collaboration with clients and internal teams to deliver solutions that meet industry demands.

  • 4 Territories Available : Reside in Southern California, Northern California, the Midwest or Montreal

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the main point of contact to address needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Market and Product Development : Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align product offerings with client requirements and market trends.
  • Sales Strategy Execution : Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets while managing the sales pipeline effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with internal departments, including marketing, operations, and product development, to achieve business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring : Analyze industry trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activities to provide insights and optimize performance.
  • Key Skills

  • Client-Centric Approach : Strong ability to develop and nurture long-term client relationships in the plastics or chemical sectors.
  • Sales and Negotiation Expertise : Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving profitability through effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Industry Knowledge : In-depth understanding of commodity polymers, including polyethylene, polypropylene, and polystyrene, as well as familiarity with specialized resins.
  • Educational and Additional Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience : 5-7 years in business development or account management, with a focus on commodity polymers or related industries.
  • Other Qualifications : Exceptional presentation skills, ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, and experience managing a sales pipeline effectively.
