Position Description:
RIZZO is seeking a mid-level Hydraulic & Hydrology Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to support integrated water resources engineering projects. The successful candidate will perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, flood frequency analysis, water availability and balance assessments, dam break analysis, and embankment erosion & sediment transport analysis for a variety of projects, including tailing dams, hydropower facilities, flood control structures, levees, and drainage systems.
The candidate should have a strong foundation in hydraulics, surface water hydrology, fluid mechanics, and statistics, along with experience in numerical modeling for water-related infrastructure. Proficiency in developing and running models such as Riverflow-2D, FLO-2D, FLOW-3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ANSYS, and OpenFOAM is preferred. Experience with GIS and CADD software is also beneficial.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis for various water resource projects.
- Prepare technical reports, work plans, and presentations.
- Assist in the development of technical scopes of work for proposals.
- Support client and regulatory meetings, both domestic and international.
- Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling related to water resource modeling tasks.
