Project Engineer/Team Lead

POSITION SUMMARY :

RIZZO International Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Engineer / Team Lead to lead and manage a team of engineers to execute civil engineering projects, particularly in dam safety and water infrastructure. This candidate will work in our Tarrytown, NY Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors

Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget

Prepare and review technical reports

Stability Analysis of gravity and earthen dams

Dam Break Analysis and developing inundation maps

Dam hazard classification assessments

Evaluation of inlet and outlet structures, spillways, and water conveyance systems

Safety inspections of dams, spillways, water conveyance systems and powerhouses

Prepare and review construction drawings and technical specifications for new dams and modifications / rehabilitation to existing dams

Monitor project progress and adjust as needed

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers

Support applications for local, state, and federal permitting of projects

Maintaining positive relationships with exiting and new clients, as well as attending offsite and onsite client meetings

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering, Master’s degree preferred
• New York Professional Engineer (P.E.) License required
• Experience in water resources and / or geotechnical engineering preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Job Type : Full-time

Base Pay : commensurate with experience
