Position: Aide, Instructional Technology (ITA)
This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.
Job Description:
Supervise students in a lab/classroom setting as students complete self-paced instructional technology and computer-based assignments.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid SBEC Educational Aide certificate
- Associate's Degree or 48 or more college hours or NCLB ParaEducator Certification issued by San Jacinto College or other local educational entity
- Experience with technology applications preferred
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively maintain classroom atmosphere conducive to academic success. Monitor and document academic progress. Collaborate with teaching staff and other campus team members to support student achievement. Provide for the safety of students by supporting the supervision efforts on campus and at arrival and dismissal duties.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Frequent walking
- Lifting: Frequent light lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (less than 15 pounds); occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling (up to 50 pounds)
- Environment: Work inside and outside, regular exposure to noise and the elements
- Mental Demands: Maintain control under stress

The district contributes $400/monthly to the cost of "employee-only" health insurance which is $175/monthly greater than the state required amount of $225/monthly.
Pay Grade: Paraprofessional, Pay Grade 1, 187 Days
Minimum: $12.04
Midpoint: $14.50
Compensation based on job-like experience
