We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator to join our production team in a fast-paced boat building facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding metal components used in the construction of boats. This role requires precision, adherence to design specifications, and a commitment to producing high-quality marine products.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Abilities

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics for metal fabrication.

• Operate cutting, bending, and shaping equipment such as shears, press brakes, rollers, and saws.

• Weld and assemble metal components using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques when necessary.

• Perform finishing tasks such as grinding, polishing, and deburring to ensure smooth edges and proper fit.

• Work with aluminum, stainless steel, and other marine-grade metals.

• Conduct quality checks on fabricated components to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to troubleshoot and refine fabrication processes.

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following OSHA and company safety policies.

• Keep tools and equipment in good working condition through regular maintenance and inspections.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, protective suits, dusts masks and respirators
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds •
• Employees must be able to work a 10-hour shift or more in one work day including planned and unplanned overtime •
• Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions
