Industrial Maintenance Service Technician

RJ Kool Company is a leading distributor of commercial laundry equipment. Since 1971, we have supplied equipment, parts and laundry repair services to vended laundries, hotels, nursing homes, fire departments, and many others. Currently headquartered in Kansas City, we also have team members in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Minneapolis / St Paul MN, Des Moines IA, Milwaukee WI, St Louis MO, Springfield MO and Tulsa OK.

We are rapidly growing in the Midwest and are currently looking for a skilled Service Technician to help support us in the Tulsa, OK area. Ideally this person would have 2 or more years of Industrial Maintenance or HVAC repair experience (knowledge base is similar).

RJ Kool seeks an individual with mechanical experience and the desire to learn today’s laundry equipment technology (strictly commercial, no residential). Applicant must supply their own small hand tools, have basic mechanical ability, and have good customer service skills.

Here is the Basic Rundown:

• A fully stocked company service vehicle is provided.
• A company cell phone and laptop are provided.
• Technicians start from their home and travel to our customers' locations to diagnose and repair laundry equipment.
• Technicians may be asked to assist with other projects, such as installations, on occasion depending on workloads, availability and experience.
• Extensive job training is provided. Initial training will take place in St Louis for 1-2 weeks depending on experience. Company will cover hotel, travel and per diem.
• Starting wage is dependent on past service experience.
• Occasional overnight stay required. Distance drives from the center hub are common (2-3 hours or sometimes more one way due to service area).

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent is needed.
• Trade school training in mechanical training preferred.
• Industrial and/or HVAC Maintenance a plus.
• Plumbing and electrical skills a plus.
• Candidate must have an understanding of electrical control circuits, and 1Ph and 3Ph systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a good working knowledge of tools.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be in good physical condition.
• Technician must possess some computer skills and the ability to work with our service app provided.
