Job Responsibilities: The Client Relations and Sample Receiving Representative is a valuable member of our client services/sample receiving team and plays an essential role in our laboratory operations process. The Representative will be the liaison between the customers and the RJ Lee Group laboratory personnel. Direct interaction with the customers will be required. The position has components of customer service, inside sales, and interoffice organization related to sample intake and process flow.
Essential Duties:
Providing exceptional customer service/ client support.
Managing and answering incoming calls and web inquiries, identifying and assessing the needs of customers to achieve satisfaction, directing customers as needed and keeping records of customer interactions and processing customer accounts.
Meeting and greeting walk in customers and receiving dropped off samples answering any relevant questions.
Resolving customer requests and escalating issues as needed to lab management and accounting depending on the inquiry.
Providing quotes to the customer based on their inquiries in collaboration with the lab personnel.
Interacting and communicating with the lab supervisors, managers, analysts and other sample coordinators regarding samples and sample workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Arranging the shipment of samples or sample collection media by processing media requests.
Interacting with the accounting department to facilitate invoicing of the completed work orders.
Responsible for sample receiving, logging, and handling of samples per internal standard operating procedures based on TNI-NELAC and AIHA protocols using LIMS (laboratory information systems).
Responsible for splitting samples and measuring parameters associated with receipt of samples (i.e., pH, temperature, turbidity and so on) when necessary and distributing them through multiple laboratory departments.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualifications
A two-year degree is required
A scientific background is preferred but not necessary
0-2 years of customer service experience, environmental industry and/ or industrial hygiene experience is a plus
Outstanding organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Strong listening skills and patience to handle novel situations
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent data entry skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload and remain flexible to changing priorities
Strong Problem-solving Skills And Follow-through Are Required
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and to interact with all organizational levels
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision; must also be able to work as part of a team
