Service and Lot Porter (Powersports)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our service department by assisting with various tasks related to vehicle maintenance and repair. This position requires a proactive individual who is eager to learn and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Detail Units that came in on trade or from Manufacturers
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various assembly and repair jobs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Work in receiving bay as Semi show with new inventory
• Conduct thorough quality checks on all vehicles to identify and address any defects or issues
• Document and report any quality concerns or non-conformities to the Service Manager.
• Assist Set Up techs to Install sold accessories on units
• Cleaning the inside dealership along with parking lot, including picking up trash and helping to remove snow or ice.
• Power wash or detail used and new units as directed and needed.
• Providing customer service to prospective buyers by bringing vehicles to them
• Running errands for various departments, including sales, parts and service department
• Other Duties as needed.
• Reports to Service Manager

Experience

• Previous experience in a dealership or service environment is preferred but not required.
• Forklift Experience Strongly needed.
• Basic knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and welding techniques is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• A willingness to learn new skills related to service technician duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
