What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN position at RJ Staffing?
A Midrise Apartment Building with 120 units seeks to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician to join the team. This position is responsible for subordinate oversight of a single part-time cleaning person and reports to the Property Manager. The ideal Candidate will be a self starter, and motivated individual. Hours are Monday - Friday, 9 : 00am - 6 : 00pm. Salary dependent on experience. Company benefits include health plan, paid time off, and 401K.
RESPONSIBLITIES :
Maintain awareness of the physical condition of the property and immediately correct unsafe conditions.
Conduct regular inspections to determine areas that need attention and then perform the tasks as assigned.
Handle interior and exterior maintenance.
Work with contractors for completing larger renovation projects.
Ensure that all make ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule. Correct situations within 24 hours when possible.
Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests (received and completed), expenditures, apartment make-ready status, work in progress, etc.
Experience with boilers, carpentry, plumbing repair, fixture installations, drywall repair, tile work, painting, general maintenance, other duties as needed
Responsible for keeping buildings and the surroundings clean, presentable and usable.
Must be on-call for building emergencies
REQUIREMENTS :
5 Years of General Construction / Handyman and Building Maintenance experience
Ability to be on call
Commutable distance to Port Chester, NY
Must be reliable and hard working
Must be able to work with all tools
Must be able to oversee junior maintenance staff
Salary : $52,000 - $60,000
