What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fabricator position at RJ Watson, Inc?
Are you interested in working on high-profile bridge projects and supporting this country's infrastructure? If so, RJ Watson is a growing local manufacturer of bridge components and we are in need of a Welder/Fabricator to assist us in our Fabrication department. Every project we take on is distinct, and we need someone who can analyze shop drawings and conceptualize all the essential steps required to manufacture the project using raw steel. Strong skills in reading blueprints and fabrication are crucial for this position.
Minimum of 5 years experience in welding and fabrication (10 years preferred)
Experience in GMAW - GTAW preferred but not required
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
Knowledge of steel parts and how best to maintain tolerances when heating/welding parts
Ability to weld in 2G/2F (3G/3F and/or 4G/4F preferred but not required)
Use of overhead cranes for lifting heavy components. Familiarity with rigging is also preferred.
