Assistant Superintendent – $75,000-$90,000 per year – Spring City, PA

The Role

RJB Contracting is seeking an Assistant Superintendent.

The ideal candidate will help consistently deliver projects on time, and on budget, exceed client expectations, and take responsibility for assisting and maintaining relationships with clients.

The key responsibilities of an Assistant Superintendent include, but are not limited to:

• 100% travel will be required for most jobs, with the location being dependent on the job or jobs assigned.
• Assist Superintendent with managing job site safety, quality, and schedule for assigned projects from pre-construction to closeout.
• Work collaboratively with Project Manager, project team members, and field.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
• Create and maintain a 3-week look-ahead, cross-referencing with the Master CPM Schedule to ensure job progress is maintained.
• Maintain and review the punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner.
• Everything needed to complete your job is provided by RJB i.e., Computer, phone, credit card, hotel lodging, transportation, etc.

The Ideal Candidate

• Commercial Construction Superintendent experience with knowledge in Big Box Retail, Warehousing, Manufacturing, and Grocery on project remodels, expansions, and ground-up construction.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to handle stress and interact with others.
• Knowledge of construction finance; ability to understand and evaluate pertinent cost figures such as “Cost at Completion”, “Projected Revenues” and “Projected Fee”.
• Effective written communication and verbal interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and team members.
• Excellent supervisory and analytical skills.
• Experience with Windows-based applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and various scheduling packages.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
