House Manager
Job Description:
The house manager supports individuals with disabilities in home and community settings; Lead and support direct care staff; Provide and/or secure the necessary services and supports to enhance the quality of life of the people we serve; Professional representation of the company and the consumer in the community, this includes interactions with the guardians, physicians, and other professionals in the consumer’s life.
Job Duties:
The following are the essential duties and responsibilities relevant to this position. Other duties may be assigned or designated.
- Manage staff in designated home(s)
- Participate in On-Call rotation.
- Schedule, attend and follow up on all consumer medical appointments
- Ensure that Physicians' Orders (POs) are current and signed, monitor accuracy of Medication Administration Record (MAR); order medications/PRNs
- Manage consumer personal spending, food, supply and room & board funds. Provide accountings and reports as requested (monthly)
- Plan activities for consumers and notify upper management of any activities requiring guardian’s permission when necessary.
- Keep track of attendance/absence of consumers.
- Review time sheets and mileage for accuracy, sign off, and submit to office for payment. Review and monitor staff documentation compliance.
- Update, review, and retain monthly data and submit to the office weekly/monthly as required.
- Attend all required trainings such as, but not limited to: CPR/1st aid, Abuse & Neglect, Level One Medication Aide (L1MA), Positive Behaviors Supports (PBS), MO Quality Outcomes and other trainings as required by agency management.
- Respect consumer rights and respond to their needs as individuals
- Be willing to participate in establishing and updating individual support plans
- Review all relevant materials and documentation related to the consumers’ health/medical needs and personal lifestyle
- Transport individuals to doctor’s appointments, community outings and family visits as needed.
- Complete required documentation related to the consumer such as observation notes, medical records and other charting.
- Must have the ability to complete basic homemaking tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping.
- Assist individuals with basic life skills and directives as needed
- Ensure consumers are in a safe, adequate environment at all times
- Ability to budget and maintain household and food supplies. Assist clients with budgeting and accessing necessary community resources.
- Conduct all the necessary safety drills and checks in the home and vehicle as needed
- Be flexible in scheduling and adapting to the changing need of the individuals and company
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid driver's license, Reliable vehicle, and Car Insurance
- Strong background in management and organizational skills
- Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively
- Skilled in budgeting and patient observation
- Prior House Management experience preferred - Direct Support experience required
**Sign on Bonus available for experienced applicants with current CPR, 1st Aide, & L1MA certifications following policy requirements.**

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
