Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Finance to oversee
the financial operations of our manufacturing and sales organization. The ideal candidate will
have a strong understanding of accounting principles, with a strong focus on mergers and
acquisitions and running point in a sales process, including identifying potential targets, conducting due diligence, structuring deals while providing strategic financial guidance to leadership. This individual will need to have a keen eye for detail, and a proven ability to manage complex financial processes. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income
- statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements and provide insightful analysis to
- support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts,
- identifying potential financial risks and opportunities.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, and take corrective action as
- needed.
- Analyze variances and provide explanations for significant deviations.
Accounting Operations:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts
- receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee the monthly and year-end close processes.
ERP System Management:
- Oversee the utilization of Sage 100 ERP system, specifically focusing on AP, AR, PO,
- SO, and Inventory Modules.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the ERP system.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
M&A Experience:
- Proven track record in executing successful mergers and acquisitions across various
- stages, from target identification running point in the sales cycle.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, including valuation analysis, scenario planning,
- and deal structuring.
- Deep understanding of due diligence processes, including financial statement analysis,
- operational assessments, and legal review.
- Excellent leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and effectively
- communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough financial due diligence on prospective acquisitions, analyzing financial
- statements, market positioning, and operational risks.
Team Leadership:
- Lead the accounting department.
- Provide guidance and support to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a VP of Finance or similar role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Sage 100 ERP system, with a focus on AP, AR, PO, SO, and inventory
- modules.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
