RJM has an opening for a Project Coordinator (PC).  If you enjoy supporting the construction process and like to be part of a team from ground up to opening day, this may be the role for you! As Project Coordinator, you will administer and facilitate construction project processes and technology systems.  This role offers a clear path to career progression into PC and other roles within the Company.

PURPOSE: Provide high quality administrative support to the project management teams to help achieve the strategic goals of the project and department. Enhance the efficiency and productivity of the department through the timely management and coordination of activities. 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Proficiency at coordinating project start-up, job files, records maintenance, close-out processes related to construction projects, inlcuding  extensive use of department related software. May also include scanning, printing and plan distribution. 
  • Facilitate the flow of information both internally and externally as directed. Provide operational support to the project team members.
  • Responsible for coordination of assigned projects and department initiatives including project start-up, detailed tracking and follow-up for submittals, contracts, change orders, close out and compliance documents. 
  • Willingness to review processes and suggest improvements in efficiency is welcomed. 
  • Participate in and/or own various administrative support as needed and aligned with department goals and objectives.
  • Attend meetings, training and communicate follow up items as requested and needed.

  • May be required to visit the job site to stay abreast of progress and/or as requested by the Project Manager or Project Executive.
  • Build internal relationships within the organization and promote a positive culture that reflects RJM core values.
  • Support front desk reception operations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education:

  • High school diploma

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred, not required. Previous experience may be substituted for degree.

Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years of previous work experience in an administrative role providing support to multiple people. 

  • Previous work experience in project management and in the construction industry preferred, not required.

Demonstrated Technical Competencies to include:

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet Applications

  • Experience in Bluebeam Revu is preferred

  • Viewpoint Vista, Viewpoint One and Procore experience desirable, not required

Demonstrated Professional Competencies to include:

  • Self-motivated and have the ability to use sound judgment, independent thinking, and ability to make decisions

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines.  Ability to prioritize and manage projects and people, while remaining flexible.

  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with co-workers, contractors, vendors and material suppliers.

  • Aptitude for continued learning and growth.

  • Working knowledge of the interaction between project management/coordinator tasks and other departments and has the ability to troubleshoot issues when they arise.

Pay Range:  $24.15/hr - $32.45/hr. The base rate may vary within anticipated range based on factors such as the location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include travel pay, car allowance, and/or a bonus and incentive program.
