We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing to support our unique operational needs. Our accounting team is searching for a skilled financial specialist to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AR/AP specialist will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.
Position requires an ability to solve problems and make decisions, following established company policy guidelines; methods and techniques relating to establishing and maintaining customer service; communicating clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing; following verbal and written instructions; working independently from general instructions; and maintaining effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable:
- Manage invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to customers
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts to minimize delinquent payments.
- Reconcile AR accounts and prepare periodic reports for management
- Ensure all billable transactions to clients are accounted for and billed back accordingly
Accounts Payable:
- Process vendor invoices, verify purchase orders, and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.
General:
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards specific to the manufacturing sector.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to receivables and payables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and payable roles within a manufacturing environment a must.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Excel,3PL, QuickBooks).
- Strong understanding of inventory management and cost accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
