Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Oversee budgeting processes and perform regular forecasts to guide financial planning.
- Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accuracy in financial statements.
- Implement cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and resource allocation.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
- Lead audits and ensure timely completion of all audit-related tasks.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role.
- Strong knowledge of Sage accounting software is highly desirable.
- In-depth understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, forecasting, and account reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
