Federal Trade Zone Manager (Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm)

RK Logistics is seeking a Federal Trade Zone (FTZ) Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) across multiple locations in the Bay Area. This role involves ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, managing inventory control, and optimizing the flow of goods within the FTZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure all FTZ operations comply with CBP regulations and other applicable federal laws
• Oversee inventory tracking, record-keeping, and transaction processing for goods moving in and out of the FTZ
• Manage daily FTZ activities, including inbound and outbound shipments, storage, and handling of goods
• Direct and oversee daily operations within the FTZ warehouse to ensure seamless workflow, adherence to schedules, and operational efficiency
• Implement and oversee the organization of stock areas to optimize storage, accessibility, and safety
• Ensure that all RK Logistics Group Facilities are FTZ regulation compliant and inspection-ready every day
• Prepare and submit required reports to CBP and other regulatory bodies
• Train staff on FTZ procedures and compliance requirements
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any issues that arise
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications And Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within an FTZ environment
• Skills: Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, excellent organizational and communication skills, proficiency in inventory management software, and the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Certifications: FTZ Administrator Certification or similar credentials are a plus
