The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in primary care and possess strong nursing knowledge, sound judgment, and assertive decision-making skills. You will be responsible for performing nursing visits, assessments, evaluations, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely administer and accurately document immunizations and medications
- Review lab results and determine next steps for care
- Triage walk-in patients and patients over the phone
- Provide patient education on medication, asthma, healthy eating, and wound care treatment
- Perform mental exams, purified protein derivative testing, and intravenous therapy insertion (if trained)
- Conduct functional assessments and vision screenings
- Maintain quality control of vaccine fridges, crash carts, and oxygen machines
- Oversee ordering and inventory of medication and vaccines
- Foster a safe work environment by following OSHA standards and identifying potential safety hazards
Requirements:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current MA RN license
- Current BLS certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekend coverage
