Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor to oversee the daily nursing activities and supervise nursing services in accordance with good nursing practice and applicable State and Federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing services to direct nursing care to residents in accordance with good nursing practice and applicable State and Federal regulations.
- Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants and LPNs.
- Administer and record medication, treatments, and monitoring as ordered and report and document resident response.
- Accurately transcribe physician's orders.
- Review care plans with NAs on monthly summary days and update the care plan to reflect the resident's current condition.
- Notify the RN Supervisor immediately of a significant change in resident condition.
- Report and record changes in resident condition to the RN Supervisor.
- Communicate resident transfers to immediate family and via email to department heads.
- Update care plans with clear, concise, time-limited goals to reflect resident condition and direct team to implement approaches.
Requirements:
- Must possess a current license in PA as a registered nurse.
- Must possess knowledge of medical asepsis, body mechanics, personal care of residents, correct use and care of equipment, observation techniques, reporting and recording, thorough knowledge of nursing theory and its application.
- Must be willing to possess knowledge of and comply with regulations, policies, procedures, contracts, and philosophy of the institution.
- Must maintain a courteous and professional manner toward residents, visitors, and co-workers and a dedication to meet the needs of the elderly.
Work Environment:
This position is located in James City, Pennsylvania.
