Construction Superintendent
RKE Contractors is looking to hire a Superintendent to work on a Heavy Civil Federal project in Spiro, Oklahoma.

Pay: Pay is Based on Experience
Job Tasks:
The Superintendent’s job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project Management:
- Manage and oversee the project
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project management team
- Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met by effectively coordinating resources, materials, and equipment
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures, as needed
- Team Supervision and Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership and direction to construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project plans, safety guidelines, and quality standards
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork, open communication, and professional development
- Resolve conflicts or issues that may arise among team members, subcontractors, or stakeholders
- Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all construction activities are carried out in compliance with federal regulations, building codes, and safety standards
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Quality Assurance and Documentation
- Ensure that all construction activities meet quality standards and comply with project specifications
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to identify and rectify any deficiencies or deviations from project plans
- Document project activities, progress, and issues, maintaining accurate records and reports for internal and external stakeholders
Superintendent Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- 5 Years of experience managing heavy civil construction
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a superintendent on heavy civil projects
- Must be capable of interpreting a Critical Path Schedule and construction drawings
- Must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1
- Must have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance
- Experience with DoD/USACE/NAVFAC is preferred
- Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Office, PROCORE, P6, and RMS
