RKE Contractors is looking to hire a Superintendent to work on a Heavy Civil Federal project in Spiro, Oklahoma.

Job Type: Full Time, In-Person

Pay: Pay is Based on Experience

Job Tasks:

The Superintendent’s job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Project Management:
  • Manage and oversee the project
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project management team
  • Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met by effectively coordinating resources, materials, and equipment
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures, as needed
• Team Supervision and Leadership:
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project plans, safety guidelines, and quality standards
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork, open communication, and professional development
  • Resolve conflicts or issues that may arise among team members, subcontractors, or stakeholders
• Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all construction activities are carried out in compliance with federal regulations, building codes, and safety standards
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Quality Assurance and Documentation
  • Ensure that all construction activities meet quality standards and comply with project specifications
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to identify and rectify any deficiencies or deviations from project plans
  • Document project activities, progress, and issues, maintaining accurate records and reports for internal and external stakeholders

Superintendent Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• 5 Years of experience managing heavy civil construction
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a superintendent on heavy civil projects
• Must be capable of interpreting a Critical Path Schedule and construction drawings
• Must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1
• Must have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance
• Experience with DoD/USACE/NAVFAC is preferred
• Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Office, PROCORE, P6, and RMS
