Projects Coordinator
RKR Construction Company (RKR) is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Projects Coordinator. RKR is an affordable housing consulting company that consults on multifamily construction projects in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and South Carolina. RKR Construction’s office is in downtown Silver Spring, MD, adjacent to the Silver Spring Metro. The project Coordinator works directly with the President assisting in various aspects of project coordination, business management, and ad hoc daily tasks. The position is hybrid with telework eligibility. The position offers excellent prospects for a future in the non profit sector as well as in Construction Management, with opportunities for professional development . This is a local hire position, and a full-time position. RKR’s work environment is characterized by strong collaboration and support.
Qualifications:
- Interest or background in affordable housing, business management, and construction preferred
- Bachelors Degree
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Adept at developing strong relationships
- Strong knowledge of MS Office suite
- Exceptional time management, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, poise, and customer service skills
- Self starter
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Proven organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage and prioritize complex tasks
- Driver’s license
- Ability to lift and move up to 35lbs
- A willingness to learn and use construction software Bluebeam Revu 2.1
- A willingness to attend on site meetings
Responsibilities include:
- Managing Reimbursable and consulting invoices
- Managing communications with multiple stakeholders
- Presenting statuses of aspects of project completion
- Organizing and filing of project documents and personal filing
- Maintaining matrices of permit information, utilities, and PCO logs
- Administrative tasks – including management of sensitive RKR business information
- Assisting in personal tasks of President ranging from picking up laundry, medication, and dog sitting (while at Silver Spring office)
- Maintaining Presidents calendar
- Attending and taking notes in virtual meetings
- Assisting in Presidents email organization and management
Compensation:
- Starting salary - $ 54,080 / year
- Parking: Montgomery County public garage located 1 block from office (reimbursed):
- Mileage reimbursement per IRS policies.
- Performance review every 6 months.
