Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to manage and optimize our supply chain operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods, aligning with our commitment to excellence in the Maryland and Washington, DC region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the transportation, storage, and distribution of products to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to streamline logistics processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to logistics and transportation.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to track shipments and analyze performance metrics.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, inventory, or delivery schedules.
- Prepare and present reports on logistics operations, highlighting areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related area.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of logistics regulations and best practices.
