Production Technician L2

Summary/Objective: RL Controls, LLC is seeking a Production Technician L2 to perform technical work including manufacturing of assemblies and cable terminations, soldering, hardware testing, and firmware/software upgrading.
Responsibilities: Contribute as part of a team of technicians whose primary focus is electronic and computer-based technology build, configuring, and repairing. This position requires the individual to work with peers & engineers, use various test equipment and systems to build or return systems into an operational state in strict accordance with schedules and management requirements. The individual is expected to be able to operate independently, as well as in a team environment.
Required Skills:
- Ability to comprehend technical documentation containing pictures, descriptions and specifications of hardware/software
- Ability to build/test custom wire harnesses and assemblies, including soldering
- Familiar with computers and networks
- Dexterity with small hand tools; experience with various crimping tools
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Products
- Test equipment experience, including meters, scopes, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and quality
- Self-motivated with ability to learn quickly and work independently
- Experience with hardware and software configuration
Desired Skills:
- Familiar with RF technologies, WiFi/LTE/MIMO, and networks-wired and wireless
- Ability to debug and repair to the component level
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate and perform for customer demonstrations
- IPC training and/or certifications
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma with 2-6 years of relevant experience OR Associates Degree in relevant field with 1-5 years of relevant experience
Desired Education and Experience: Technical certifications. Vocational training in relevant field.
