SUMMARY OF POSITION : Restaurant Managers at Hardee's have the duty and responsibility of performing a whole range of managerial and operational tasks including counting inventory for all the supplies in the store, implementing food safety control, improving customer service and client relationships, hiring and training personnel. Restaurant managers are also responsible for creating the daily reports, making daily deposits, and other related tasks. The working condition is fast paced and in a very customer – oriented environment, that is why restaurant managers are expected to cope with all the pressures and stress. He or she must also have the aptitude to immediately solve a problem as soon as it arises and they must strictly implement the company's safety procedure rigorously.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Recruit and hire hourly staff, as well as to maintain a bench for future growth.
- Insure all marketing plans are executed, including proper installation of POP and menu board elements.
- Insure restaurant is staffed properly and people are properly trained to do their jobs through effective use of training programs.
- Provide leadership by engendering excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude and commitment to company objectives.
- Insure that correct inventory levels are kept and all equipment is maintained in excellent condition through the use of approved vendors.
- Set an example by maintaining an excellent working knowledge and a high level of proficiency in the performance of all phases of restaurant operations and technology.
- Supervise in accordance with established performance and operating policies as set out in the Operations Standards Manual.
- Work with and motivate Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders and crew to perform up to their highest possible level of ability.
- Review preliminary P / L's and forward all questions to your District Manager.
- OTHER DUTIES : As assigned by management.
- Managers must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Managers are required to drive (but not limited to) bank, post office and off-site meetings.
Prerequisites :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent
Experience and Skills : Experience in restaurant operations, preferably with supervisory experience. Requires excellent communication skills, ability to deal with all levels of employees. Computer knowledge is desirable .
Physical : Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system / cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
